summer sherbet papers

i made a couple of layouts using that cool A Shade of Blue paper that was sent to me. this collection is called summer sherbet. nice and bright and colorful!

i scrap and i guess that is why i am having a difficult time keeping up with this blog! here is one of my latest projects. i desperately wanted to use some pink paislee office lingo stuff, but needed a reason... why not a mini album about why i scrap?had so much fun doing this one. very different from my boy layouts and minis. as for the blogging part... i am still working on some sort of routine to make this part easier. there has got to be a way to fit it in to my busy life of being mom and scrapbooking. until next time...

the scrapbook design team was given some cool papers to work with for our next challenge. "American Made" and "Vintage Blush" designed by their very own Creative Dreams here is what i came up with... a layout of noah skating on our backyard rink...

trying the mosaic thing

i wanted to figure out how to make a mosaic using flickr pictures. i see it on so many blogs these days and had to try it for myself.... so really this is just a test. found some colorful pictures that i liked. i should try it a couple more times so i don't have to reteach myself each time!

32 degrees and below

this is the first winter i can honestly say that we wished for cold weather. 2008 was the start of something that will become annual from now on. a great time was had by all... neighbors, friends and of course all of us. we even had the local newspaper here to write an article and shoot a video of noah skating. here is the mini book to document the first kelly rink... (the article link doesn't work... but if you take out the http:// in the address bar it will).

long time... no post

wow. it got busy here for a while. had some company, and then some more. went to CKU and had a blast. met some awesome people. next week i will be taking the boys back to Canada. in the meantime, i have been working on many projects and will post them as i finish them up... here is noah's fourth birthday party book:

another little mini book of course. can't help myself. i love them. this is for the next challenge at ASB. we had to answer a bunch of questions about ourselves. this was great for me cause i am always scrapbooking about someone other than me! i really love these colors... of course the one chance i have to use pink, i am back to the blues and greens... funny how that works.

needed to try two things: a 6x12 layout (kinda liked that size!) and a layout on a piece of transparent Hambly. so why not try them both together?! really enjoyed making it AND i liked the result! fun...

almost 4 mini album

this is another mini album by K&A die cuts. it was in our ASB sponsor kit this month. around Christmas time, i had asked my 3 (almost 4) year old a bunch of questions. i wrote down his answers in hopes to scrapbook them some day. this mini album was the perfect place to house everything. i dressed it up with some Rusty Pickle papers and tabs, some AC thickers and ribbon... and that was it! nice and easy.

i love...

this is a mini album that i made with a sponsor kit by K&A die cuts for the ASB design team. it is a little book with 9 things i love about my toddler right now. used up some of last year's ki memories stuff, some 7 gypsies rubon numbers and stamped journaling stamps on a transparency. i slapped some white paint down behind each transparency to make it easier to read the journaling. i tied it together with a bunch of ribbon, knotted at the back and all gathered together at the front and tied.
